K-2, also known as Mount Godwin-Austen or Chhogori in the local Balti language, is the second-highest mountain globally, towering magnificently at 8,611 meters. As you embark on the K2 Basecamp and Baltoro trek, you’ll have the privilege of witnessing the grandeur of this mighty peak, an experience that will undoubtedly leave you in awe.
Concordia, a magical spot nestled amidst the Karakoram Range, serves as a meeting point of multiple glaciers, providing an extraordinary view of some of the world’s highest peaks. During the trek, the panorama at Concordia will undoubtedly take your breath away, surrounded by the mesmerizing beauty of Payju Peak, Trango Towers, and Mashabrum.

Islamabad-Karakoram
Upon your arrival at Islamabad, you will be warmly greeted by our company representative who will accompany you to the hotel. Afternoon sightseeing in Islamabad and Rawalpindi awaits, followed by a delightful dinner at a local restaurant. Later, we will drive back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Today, we embark on an exciting flight to Skardu. Upon landing, we will transfer you to the hotel. Enjoy an afternoon of sightseeing in the enchanting city of Skardu. Relax and unwind with an overnight stay at the hotel.
Note: In case of flight cancellation due to bad weather, we will take an alternative route via Karakoram Highway to Chilas, making a stop for lunch at Besham. It’s an approximately 12-13 hours drive covering 461 km from Islamabad to Chilas. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After a hearty breakfast, we will explore the beautiful city of Skardu. Alternatively, we may visit the picturesque Sadpara Lake, followed by lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we return to the hotel for a delicious meal and a comfortable overnight stay.
After breakfast, get ready for an adventurous 4WD jeep drive to Jula, a mesmerizing journey that takes approximately 7-8 hours from Skardu. During the trip, we’ll make a short stop at the enchanting Shigar Valley, famous for its apricots and exquisite aquamarine gemstones. Lunch will be enjoyed en route. As the day concludes, we will indulge in a hearty dinner and spend the night camping under the starry skies.
Today, after breakfast, we commence our trek towards Paiju, a true marvel of nature with views of the Baltoro moraines. Trekking through distinctive rock formations, you’ll encounter an enormous Screec before your final climb of the day, providing a breathtaking view of the Cathedrals of Baltoro. The trek takes approximately 5-7 hours. Enjoy a satisfying dinner and overnight stay in tents.
Fuel up with a scrumptious breakfast at the camp before setting out on a trek to Urdukas. The journey alternates between the Glacier and the lower slopes of the Urdukas peaks, offering magnificent views of Paiju Peak, Choricho Peak, Great Trango Tower, and Uli Biaho. The trek takes approximately 5-7 hours. In the afternoon, explore the beautiful campsite at Urdukas and then savor dinner before retiring to the tents for the night.
Today’s trek is the longest and most challenging stage of the journey, leading you through the harsh environment of the Baltoro Glacier. As you leave the grassy banks of the glacier, you’ll camp on the surface of Baltoro, where you’ll be rewarded with full views of majestic peaks, including Gasherbrum IV, Massive Masharburm, Biarchedi, and the elegant Muztagh Towers. The trek takes approximately 6-7 hours. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.
This stage is shorter and less strenuous than the previous one, leading you to the renowned cirque of the Karakoram, where the Godwin Austen glacier meets the Baltoro from the north. Concordia offers mesmerizing views of K-2, Broad Peak, Chogolisia, Golden Throne, and the slender Mitre Peak. The trek takes approximately 3-4 hours. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.
Prepare for the final trek to the Base Camp of K-2, the world’s second-highest peak. Enjoy lunch on the way or at Base Camp, located at an altitude of nearly 5,135m. Afterward, we return to Concordia for dinner and an overnight stay in tents.
Post-breakfast, we begin our trek back to Gore II. The return journey will take less time, as you are now acclimatized and in better shape. However, it will still be a long-distance trek, approximately 3-4 hours. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.
After breakfast at the camp, we trek down to Urdukas, providing beautiful views along the way. The trek will take approximately 6-7 hours from Gore II to Urdukas. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.
Today is the last day of glacier walking, as we trek back towards Paiju. The journey takes approximately 6-7 hours. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay in tents.
After breakfast, we begin our trek to Jhula, covering a distance of approximately 6-7 hours until we reach the Jhula campsite. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.
We drive back to Skardu from Askole, which is approximately a 6-7 hours journey. Upon arrival, we transfer you to the hotel. After a refreshing shower, you can visit the local bazaar and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before settling in for an overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, we transfer you to the airport for your flight to Islamabad. Please note that flights to Skardu and Gilgit are subject to weather conditions. In case of clear weather, we will fly to Islamabad, and upon arrival, transfer you to the hotel. The afternoon is free for shopping or some sightseeing. All meals and overnight stay in the hotel.
In the case of flight cancellation due to bad weather, we will drive to Chilas, which takes approximately 10-11 hours by road. All meals and overnight stay in the hotel.
The day is free for exploration or visiting the colorful bazaars in Islamabad. If travelling by road, we drive via Karakoram Highway back to Islamabad, an 11-12 hours journey. Enjoy lunch en route at Besham. Upon arrival in Islamabad, we transfer you to the hotel for an overnight stay.
